Makeup is a girl’s best friend. It doesn’t just simply cover your imperfections but it also makes you more confident with yourself. If you want your face to be flawless and photo ready, contouring and highlighting is a must! Well if you’re not a fan of makeups, you probably haven’t heard of this but if you know Kim Kardashian, I assume you’re very familiar with this. I learned to do contouring and highlighting two years ago and it does give my face the shape that I want. This makeup technique works wonders like bringing out our best features, reshaping your face and add some dimension. Contouring and highlighting is easy to do. All you just need are the right tools.
Some of my friends recently discovered Fashion 21 contouring kit and they really loved it! That’s why I decided to give it a try.
You need to contour and highlight to create a slimming effect on your face. Here’s a simple tutorial that you can follow!
For a daytime look, you need to use the shade on the left side to define the outer sections of your face. Start with the outer edges of your cheeks, then sides of your nose, next would be edges of your chin, the side of your forehead, then just blend, blend and blend! To highlight, use the one in the middle on the inner sections of your face, the forehead, the center of your nose, the middle of your chin and just a dab under your eyebrows.
If you want to create a look for night events, use the 3 shades.
Use first the darker shade for contour then start with outer edges of your cheeks and chin, and then the side of your forehead. Next, use the lighter shade of contour to blend the dark shade and for your nose line. Lastly, highlight using the one on the middle on the inner sections of your face, the forehead, the center of your nose, the middle of your chin and just a dab under your eyebrows. Blend blend blend!
If you’re having a hard time following these, here’s a guide that you can use.
